Oral Surgery
Wisdom tooth removal
Oral surgery is a specialized branch of dentistry that focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions related to the mouth, jaw, and facial structures. It encompasses a wide range of surgical procedures aimed at improving oral health, function, and aesthetics. Oral surgeons are dental professionals who undergo extensive training beyond dental school to perform these surgical interventions.
One common reason for oral surgery is the extraction of impacted or damaged teeth. Impacted teeth occur when a tooth fails to fully emerge from the gum line, often causing pain, swelling, and increased risk of infection. In such cases, oral surgeons can carefully remove the affected tooth, ensuring minimal discomfort and promoting proper healing

Wisdom tooth removal
Wisdom teeth or third molars are the last teeth to erupt in the mouth. “inadequate space sometimes leads to partial or total lack of eruption resulting in “impacted” wisdom teeth. These teeth can cause several problems including local infection and damage to adjacent teeth and hence are removed, commonly by means of a small surgical procedure which usually involves drilling of surrounding bone.
