TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT REPLACEMENT (JAW JOINT)

Ankylosis (Fused Jaw joint), trauma and certain degenerative diseases that affect the temporomandibular joint (jaw joint) can leave the patient and limited function.

Advances in technology have made it possible to replace a nonfunctional joint with an artificial prosthesis, in a manner similar to other joints (Knee, Hip) in the body, thereby restoring function and leaving the patient pain free.
